Clark County Saddle Club Relocation
Clark County Saddle Club Inc. has been providing a home for equestrian sport and recreation in Clark County, Washington since 1946.
The Saddle Club is a 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation serving over 700 riding and non-riding members of all ages and equine interests. The Saddle Club is also “home” to a variety of equine related groups that use the facility throughout the year to support youth education, equine activities, community awareness and equine resources.
The Saddle Club encourages volunteer participation and welcomes visitors at the many public events throughout the year. The Saddle Club offers a variety of riding events each year open to members and non-members, as well as spectators from the community and beyond. The Saddle Club provides equestrian sporting events, clinics, camps, play-days as well as the annual Vancouver Rodeo. The Saddle Club provides access to equestrian events for thousands of equestrians and spectators every year.
Over the years the Saddle Club has been located a couple different facilities throughout the county. With recent housing developments and an aging facility the Saddle Club must relocate so it can continue to provide the opportunity for equine events in our community as it has for over 70 years!
For Generations To Come
The Clark County Equine Foundation is committed to being a resource for the Clark County Saddle Club in their relocation and in building a new equestrian event center. The existing Saddle Club facility is depreciated and has become surrounded by housing and commercial development. A new facility is necessary so they can continue to provide a riding facility and event space for the thousands of horse owners and enthusiasts from all over the Northwest that use the facility each year.
Phase I—Relocation:
« Purchase 40-acre parcel (Purchase property located in Battle Ground - West & East Parcel)
« Build indoor riding arena (150x290)
« Dismantle and relocate covered warm-up arena that is at the Saddle Club’s current location
« Site improvements—gravel parking lot, landscaping, etc.
Phase II—Expansion:
« Build outdoor arena (Vancouver Rodeo)
« Build a clubhouse (use for club gatherings, rental space, outside organization meeting space, events)
« Expand parking to comply with county requirements for public events (i.e. Vancouver Rodeo)
« Expand outdoor recreation (trail course, track)
« Additional site improvements—level area for portable stalls, etc.
« Build caretakers home
Phase II will allow for expansion of the parking area to comply with county requirements so we can build an outdoor arena that can be used for the Vancouver Rodeo and other public and Saddle Club events.
we need your help!
There is a $1,000,000 financial shortfall for Phase I of the relocation. The previous Saddle Club was recently sold and the Saddle Club is providing the majority of the funds necessary for the initial Phase I of the relocation but there is still a shortfall.
Construction has already begun but we need YOUR HELP in raising the necessary $1,000,000 shortfall for the Saddle Club to finish the relocation (Phase I).
THE BENEFIT TO YOU THE DONOR:
